“Unfinished Love”

This painting was started in 2022 to reflect what was happening in the U.S, in particular the school shootings. In 2023 Meera’s sister friends son Isa passed away from fentanyl overdose on the night before his 16th birthday. The painting then was changed to be dedicated to Isa. The wings are half painted and half with real feathers of wings.

First shown in BlackGirl BrownGirl Collective in Phoenix, then in Mesa for a show on mental wellness, and then as ISA in the show Meera curated “On The WIngs of the Sacred Ibis” in Portland Oregon. 2025
